Ocha & Co. Matcha Green Tea Powder & Tea Accessories

Ocha & Co. offers award winning Japanese Green Tea, Matcha Powder & Tea Accessories. Today, I made a matcha tea latte with almond milk with the organic Matcha green tea powder, and it was perfection! I have tried several Matcha tea powders from other brands, and the quality is nowhere near the quality of Ocha & Co. You can use Matcha powder in smoothies, lattes, recipes, or drink it straight.

Matcha contains antioxidants, catechins. One specific catechin called epigallocatechin gallate (EGCg) makes up 60% of the catechins in Matcha Green Tea. Out of all the antioxidants, EGCg is the most widely recognized for its cancer fighting properties.

In addition to being widely recognized for its cancer fighting properties, Matcha has so many more positive health benefits. Matcha enhances calm, boosts memory and concentration, increases energy and levels of endurance, burns calories, detoxifies the body, fortifies the immune system, improves cholesterol, and provides sustainable energy without the crash that the effect that caffeine in coffee can have.

Ocha & Co. Japanese Kyoto Uji Matcha Green Tea Powder

Kyoto Uji Matcha is Ocha & Co.’s highest grade matcha, prepared from young, first green tea leaves at Uji in Kyoto, the birthplace of the Japanese tea ceremony. The flavor is mild and mellow, with a slightly sweet aftertaste and none of the bitterness found in lower grade Matcha tea powders. This is truly a top quality matcha, the closest you can get to a ceremonial grade without the price tag. The color is a vibrant green and has the smoothest taste of any other Matcha powders I have EVER had.

Ocha & Co. Organic Japanese Matcha Green Tea Powder

Ocha & Co.’s Japanese organically certified Matcha green tea powder is from Shizuoka, Japan. Young, first flush green leaves are picked and quickly steamed to seal in the goodness before processing and are 100% natural without any additives. The tea is grown in perfect conditions for tea production in some of the highest plantations in the Japan. The value is incredible for a high-quality organic Japanese Matcha.

HOW TO MAKE MATCHA THE TRADITIONAL JAPANESE WAY

Why not make Japanese Matcha the traditional way using a Chasen (whisk) and Chashaku (scoop) and drink it the way it is enjoyed in Japan. Follow the instructions in the illustration using only hot water to make Ushicha (light matcha drink); add extra powder and make Koicha (thicker matcha drink) used in Japanese tea ceremonies. Slow down and savor the intense flavors and aroma of these drinks and focus on the day ahead. Sipping from a Chawan (Japanese matcha bowl) will heighten the experience.
