In 1999, I began working in the beauty industry as a Makeup Artist and Beauty Advisor. I have worked for several companies and continue to offer my services by word of mouth/referral on Facebook and Instagram.
In 2013, I began ‘blogging’, and my blog was initially poetryinmakeup.com, which was focused on Beauty and Makeup Artistry Services. Since then, I have expanded my interests and blogging is a part-time labor of love.
In 2021, my career of 17+ years in the banking industry ended due to a company-wide downsizing merger. Although my career ended, and my world was shaken and uncertain, I had been given the gift of time to delve back into my artwork… I had lost touch with my poetry, painting, drawing and anything related to the arts. I ‘rediscovered’ my passion for creating things and have been more ‘in tune’ with myself since then.
